Meet Your Yoga Guide,

Terri

Founder of Twin Temple Yoga

Driven by passion to connect communities and help educate people through yoga to grow within themselves to their full potentials.

Hello all! I’m Terri.
My personal journey began over a decade ago when a health professional introduced me to the profound benefits of yoga. I was astounded by its power to heal the body, soothe the mind, and spark self-acceptance. My discovery of yoga and it’s effects quickly evolved into a mission: to share this transformative practice - one person at a time.

Despite facing issues such as chronic pain, depression, and an eating disorder, I was passionate in doing my best to be “better than yesterday” and “get back on the horse” to push through and to grow a healthy lifestyle that would balance my overall well-being. I pursued a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Studio One successfully and very proudly. My knowledge of yoga became more than just poses and movements on a mat; such things as breathing techniques, meditation, the Ethics of Yoga which included things like Ahimsa (Non-Violence) and Santosha (Contentment), the roots of Yoga, and anatomy were additionally added to my repertoire.

I felt something was missing from my practice and realized it was a therapeutic SomaYoga approach. I continued on to join and graduate from Yoga North’s 200hr SomaYoga Teacher Training through Tula. With my natural kind-heartedness and curiosity of learning, I grew into a guide dedicated to making movement safe, joyful, relaxing, and stress relieving. I am currently in Yoga North’s 500hr Advance SomaYoga/Level 1 SomaTherapy Teacher Training.

At Twin Temple Yoga, I specializes in blending thoughtful Somatic movements (SomaYoga) into my yoga classes. I use my artistic eye to guide you through shapes that fit your body. All while fostering a comforting, welcoming space where every student feels seen and accepted. I am educated in Trauma-Informed Yoga guidance and have experience adapting classes and providing prop variations to fit students needs for safety and keep them at ease in their bodies. I am a cheerleader, committed to helping you build a healthy relationship with yourself and discover gentle happiness within.

When not teaching, you might catch me deep in creative projects, belting out some karaoke tunes, dancing away like no ones watching, or relaxing with my husband and our beloved Bearded Dragon!
