Class Descriptions

  • SomaYoga is our foundational practice that bridges the gap between traditional Hatha Yoga and the science of Hanna Somatics. In this class, we move slowly and consciously to identify "Sensory-Motor Amnesia"—areas where the brain has lost connection with the muscles. By practicing gentle pandiculations, you will learn to release chronic tension patterns from the inside out, reclaiming a sense of ease and fluid movement in your daily life.

  • Wake up your body with a gentle infusion of SomaYoga and invigorating sequences designed to circulate energy and sharpen mental clarity for the day ahead. This class blends rhythmic breathwork with soul-nourishing movement, helping you transition from morning stillness to a state of joyful, balanced readiness.

  • This Slow Flow class invites you to move with grace and intention. We prioritize internal sensations over outward performance or "pushing" past your limits. We always encourage staying within your natural range of motion and utilize a wide array of props and variations. We create a supportive environment where every body can find its own sustainable path to strength and flexibility while practicing grounded stability.

  • SomaRestore is our dedicated restorative practice, acting as an "emergency brake" for a high-stress lifestyle. We utilize long-held, supported shapes and deep somatic cues to encourage the nervous system to shift into a state of deep rest and digestion. This class is a sanctuary of quietude, specifically designed to soothe anxiety, improve sleep quality, and provide a profound sense of comfort.

  • Discover the power of somatic movement without needing to get down on the floor. Our Chair SomaYoga sessions adapt therapeutic pandiculations and the science of Hanna Somatics to a seated position and chair assisted standing postures, making it perfect for seniors or anyone seeking to reclaim functional mobility and gain inner awareness with complete support.

    • Inclusivity: This sanctuary is open to all, regardless of age, ability, race, gender, or background. I honor the unique somatic story you bring to the mat.

    • Expertise: I commit to staying within my scope of practice (200hr SomaYoga / 500hr Advanced Training Candidate) and providing trauma-informed guidance.

    • Confidentiality: Your personal history and shared reflections remain private.

Your Commitment to the Space (Student's Conduct)

    • Ahimsa (Non-Violence): Practice kindness toward yourself. Do not push into pain. If a movement feels unsafe, honor that signal.

    • Respect the Sanctuary: Please arrive 15 minutes early to ground into the space, silence all devices, and respect each person both students and teachers, along with Twin Temple Yoga Studio as a whole.

    • Preparing for a Class: Practice good hygiene and keep sprays, perfumes, and colognes to a minimum if attending in-person. If available, bring a water bottle, a mat, and wear a couple layers to regulate body temperature. If you feel sick, please refrain from attending that day to prevent spread. Twin Temple Yoga does have some yoga materials and props available during class time.

    • Open Communication: Keep me updated on any injuries or health changes so I can offer the safest modifications for your Soma.

    • Personal Agency: You are the ultimate authority on your body. You always have the right to modify a pose or opt-out of a movement.

  • Because Twin Temple Yoga is a professional business located within a private residence, we ask for your strict adherence to the following policies to ensure safety and mutual respect:

    • Designated Areas: Students are required to stay within the designated studio area and the direct path to the restroom. Please do not wander into other areas of the home, as these are private living spaces.

    • Substance Policy: We maintain a strictly sober environment. Students may not arrive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Use of tobacco, vaping, or any illegal substances is prohibited on the entire premises (including the driveway and yard).

    • Prohibited Items: For the safety and comfort of all, firearms, weapons, and illicit drugs are strictly forbidden on the property.

    • Pets & Service Animals: To maintain a low-allergen, focused environment for our small groups, pets are not allowed. If you utilize a Service Animal, we kindly ask that you book Private 1-on-1 Sessions rather than group classes to ensure we can accommodate the animal without disrupting the somatic focus of other students.

    • Arrival & Departure: The studio opens 20 minutes before class. Once class concludes, we ask that you gather your belongings and depart within 15 minutes to allow the instructor to reset the space or transition to private life.

    • Late Arrivals: To protect the container of the practice and the safety of your body (missing the warm-up), students arriving more than 5 minutes late may not be permitted to join the session.

    • Respect for Property: Please treat the home and studio equipment with care. We ask that you remove your shoes at the entrance to help us maintain a clean, high-vibrational space.

    • Photography & Social Media: Out of respect for the privacy of others, please do not take photos or videos during class or of other students without explicit permission.

  • Read the “Overview of Student/Teacher Expectations

Read the “Overview of the Twin Temple Studio Policy”.

If available, bring a water bottle, a mat, and wear a couple layers to regulate body temperature. Twin Temple Yoga does have some yoga materials and props available during class time and is able to provide water.

Arrive 15-5 minutes early. The early the better so that you are able to ground and collect yourself in the space. If you are online this is important so that you can see what props we will be using for that session and can be prepared when class starts.

When the session starts, we may do a short check-in to see how people are feeling or areas they want to work on. It is very important that you let the teacher know if there are any new injuries or conditions so they can help keep you safe. If you do not want the whole class to hear this matter please email, text, or talk to the teacher beforehand to address the concern.

If you feel sick, please refrain from attending that day to prevent spread.

Practice good hygiene and keep sprays, perfumes, and colognes to a minimum if attending in-person.

  • We do our best to keep a community accessible “Energy Exchange” pricing model. We trust that you will choose the tier that honors both your financial reality and the sustainability of our space.
